When the first Neanderthal skeleton ever discovered was put back together and put on display it looked more like an gorilla than a modern human, turns out that individual Neanderthal had rickets and that affected their skeleton in such a way to convey a more ‘primitive’ look even though Neanderthals are very closely related to our own species.
