Italian Ice

Ingredients:  Ice, flavored syrup (Calomondin), blender

​

This is such an easy recipe, you just need some fruit syrup over crushed ice. 

​

Ice fulfills all the requirements to be a mineral when found naturally occurring.  So, if you wanted to have a real mineral recipe you have to go out and chip out some ice during winter (avoid the yellow ice). 

 

A mineral has to be:

 

1. Naturally occurring

​

2. Inorganic

​

3. Have a geometric shape

​

4. A solid

​

5. Specific chemical composition.  Just look at a picture of a snowflake and you can see the perfect geometric shape found in frozen water.
