Both Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace figured out the theory of Evolution by means of natural selection at nearly the same time and were able to correspond about how each came to their own conclusions. They agreed however, that Darwin figured it out a little earlier and that’s why we all know his name and not Wallaces’.
