National Fossil Day

Held the 2nd Wed. in October, National Fossil Day is an annual celebration held to highlight the scientific and educational value of paleontology and the importance of preserving fossils for future generations. Here’s a tooth I found on a dig in southern Colorado from an Ectenosaurus Clidastes, a marine lizard belonging to the mosasaur family.

If you've found a cool fossil, post a photo with your story!
