Large volcanic eruptions, especially super volcanoes like Yellowstone or Lake Toba actually impact the water cycle. By injecting aerosols into the stratosphere, light from the sun is reflected back out into space therefore ‘dimming’ the Earth. That creates less oceanic evaporation thus slowing water cycle of evaporation, transpiration, condensation and precipitation.
