Supernova

Some suns (stars) may have already exploded and burned out. But we won’t know that until the light reaches us. Those suns that have exploded are called Supernovas. The explosion would have happened many, many years ago, but it’s just so far away, we won’t know until the light from that Supernova reaches us. A Supernova’s explosion is a redistribution of energy, just because that energy has exploded doesn’t mean it’s been depleted, just rearranged. We know ancient peoples witnessed this a handful of times. They called them “guest stars” because they would appear out of nowhere and then eventually disappear. #sun#supernova
