US Deer Population

Writer's picture: ThorThor

It's Thor's Outdoor Thorsday!

Deer were hunted to extinction in many parts of the US 100 years ago. Today, because of conservation efforts deer have made a huge comeback to the point overpopulation has become an issue. Near where I live there are as many as 200 deer per square mile, while biologists believe a healthy population would have something like 15-20 deer per square mile.
